being on your own: cooking

So I’m starting this series that I have meant to start about 5 years ago when I graduated high school but now that I’m graduating college in two semesters I thought this would be a good opportunity. I have been living on my own with roommates in an apartment for about 3 years now and I love it. Being able to do what I please with decorating and cooking has been very rewarding experience. In the recent year I went off my colleges meal plan just to be more independent and because I wanted healthier food options and know what is going into what I was cooking. For example on what this looks like, I food prep for the week, I budget my groceries, I go grocery shopping with my roommates on Sunday’s and go to local grocery stores or farmers markets on Sundays. I spend at most $80.00-$107.00 per week or every two weeks on groceries.
